An architect by training, Doug applied more than two decades of design and planning experience to develop USGN’s core project management software. Designed out of necessity by Doug for his Phoenix-based architecture firm, Sperr & Associates/ Architecture, Inc., Sperr quickly understood the power of the Internet to dramatically improve the way companies manage projects and the potential his software had to benefit the multi-unit construction industry. Sperr soon founded USGN to commercialize the venture and his unique vision led the USGN development team to create a product that is both highly collaborative and adaptable to users’ processes and applications without the need for IT or programmers.
The company now boasts dozens of loyal blue-chip and Fortune 500 customers with over 11,000 users and 8,000 projects in the USGN online community of application development and project management. Sperr holds a Bachelor of Architecture Degree from Arizona State University, is a registered architect in more then 20 states across the U.S. and is a member of the American Institute of Architects. He’s also an accomplished sailplane and aerobatic pilot.
